Despite all the negative experiences she’s had with us two-legged creatures, Mekana hasn’t given up on humans and, after an initial period of building trust, now happily lets herself be touched, petted, and loved again. Nevertheless, this brave dog needs a sensitive and, above all, understanding owner who can devote time to her. Due to the cruel method of capture using ropes, Mekana remains very timid when it comes to handling the leash. Nonetheless, this fighter is a dog who can form an exceptionally strong bond with her owner, making it impossible not to fall completely in love with her. Die tapfere Lady wurde aus einer Tötungsstation, in der die Hunde schwer misshandelt werden, gerettet und war in der Folge sehr scheu im Umgang mit Menschen. Trotz all der schlechten Erfahrungen, die sie im Umgang mit uns Zweibeinern gemacht hat, hat Mekana die Menschen nicht abgeschrieben und lässt sich nun, nach anfänglichem Vertrauensaufbau wieder gerne anfassen, streicheln und lieben. Dennoch benötigt die tapfere Hündin ein einfühlsamen und vor allem verständnisvolles Frauchen/Herrchen, das sich Zeit für sie nimmt. Durch das grausame Einfangen mit Stricken ist Mekana vor allem im Umgang mit der Leine noch sehr Scheu. Nichtsdestotrotz ist die Kämpferin eine Hündin, die eine besonders starke Bindung zu ihrem Besitzer aufbauen kann, wodurch man sie einfach nur ins Herz schließen kann.
