Mell was already neutered by us over 13 years ago and has since lived in a community garden with other cats, where she was regularly cared for. Not long ago, we took Mell into our care. Her long fur was freed from tangles, her teeth were treated, and now she needs time to rest and get used to a life with regular care. Mell is a calm and rather reserved female cat. She observes things from a safe distance at first, but also shows that she is not averse to people. In relaxed moments, she already allows gentle petting and enjoys attention. A return to her previous location is no longer an option for Mell. Nevertheless, she knows and appreciates life with a free roam and should be given the opportunity to go outside again after a sufficient period of acclimatization. Therefore, we are looking for a home in a quiet and safe environment for Mell with later free roam. For Mell, we wish for patient people who will give her the time to settle in at her own pace. Mell wurde von uns bereits vor über 13 Jahren kastriert und lebte seitdem in einer Schrebergartenanlage gemeinsam mit anderen Katzen, wo sie regelmäßig versorgt wurde. Vor einiger Zeit haben wir Mell in unsere Obhut genommen. Ihr Langhaarfell wurde von starken Verfilzungen befreit, ihre Zähne wurden behandelt und nun darf sie sich erst einmal in Ruhe erholen und das Leben mit regelmäßiger Fürsorge kennenlernen. Mell ist eine ruhige und eher zurückhaltende Katzendame. Sie beobachtet vieles erst einmal aus sicherer Entfernung, zeigt aber auch, dass sie Menschen nicht abgeneigt ist. In entspannten Momenten lässt sie sich bereits vorsichtig streicheln und genießt die Aufmerksamkeit. Eine Rückkehr an ihre frühere Fundstelle kommt für Mell nicht mehr infrage. Trotzdem kennt und schätzt sie das Leben mit Freigang und soll nach einer ausreichend langen Eingewöhnungszeit wieder die Möglichkeit bekommen, nach draußen zu gehen. Daher suchen wir für sie ein Zuhause in einer ruhigen und sicheren Umgebung mit späterem Freigang. Für Mell wünschen wir uns geduldige Menschen, die ihr die Zeit geben, in ihrem eigenen Tempo anzukommen. Sie ist keine Katze, die sich sofort aufdrängt, sondern eine, die Vertrauen langsam wachsen lässt.
