Meltem, born approximately September 2025, is looking for her forever home. MELTEM comes from Ensingen. She was cared for there, along with many other cats, by an older gentleman. He has since become seriously ill and can no longer adequately care for the animals. The cats were all unspayed and have reproduced uncontrollably. At our shelter, they were spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, and allowed to settle in at their own pace. Meltem is still quite shy and observes everything that happens around her first. In quiet moments, she lets herself be seen and is then totally playful. But this still takes a lot of strength and courage - on both sides. Our still-shy Meltem needs a quiet home with understanding people. She needs patience and empathy to gain trust. In a stress-free environment, she can settle in and soon show her gentle side. That's why we recommend an arrival room for her at the beginning, where she can slowly get used to the new situation and meet her caregivers. It will take some time, but we are sure that she will develop positively with her humans. Meltem wants a cat companion of about the same age. She is very social and should not live without a feline friend. After sufficient acclimatization, Meltem would like to have traffic-calmed outdoor access with her fellow cat. Unsere Meltem geb. ca. 09/2025 sucht ihr Für-immer-Zuhause. MELTEM stammt aus Ensingen. Sie wurde dort, mit vielen weiteren Katzen, von einem älteren Herrn versorgt. Er ist inzwischen selbst schwer krank und kann sich nicht mehr adäquat um die Tiere kümmern. Die Katzen waren dort alle unkastriert und haben sich unkontrolliert vermehrt. Bei uns im Tierheim wurden sie nun alle kastriert, geimpft, entwurmt und dürfen jetzt in Ruhe in ihrem Tempo bei uns ankommen. Meltem ist noch ziemlich schüchtern und beobachtet erstmal alles was um sie herum so passiert. In ruhigen Momenten lässt sie sich auch mal blicken und ist dann total verspielt. Aber das kostet noch viel Kraft und Mut – auf beiden Seiten. Unsere noch scheue Meltem sucht ein ruhiges Zuhause, bei verständnisvollen Menschen. Sie braucht Geduld und Einfühlungsvermögen, um Vertrauen zu fassen. In einer stressfreien Umgebung kann sie sich einleben und bald auch ihre sanften Seiten zeigen. Deshalb empfehlen wir gern für den Beginn für sie ein Ankommzimmer, in dem sie sich langsam an die neue Situation rantasten darf und ihre Dosenöffner kennenlernen kann. Es wird eine gewisse Zeit brauchen, aber wir sind uns ganz sicher, dass sie sich mit ihren Menschen positiv entwickeln wird. Meltem wünscht sich einen etwa gleichaltrigen Katzenkumpel. Sie ist sehr soziel und soll deshalb nicht ohne Katzenfreund leben. Nach reichlich Eingewöhnung wünscht sich Meltem, mit ihrem Artgenossen, einen verkehrsberuhigten Freigang.
