Menta y Pipa

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 4 months

How to Adopt a Dog? Menta arrived at our association after becoming an unplanned mother. In this situation, her responsible caretaker decided to surrender her along with her four female puppies so that all of them could have the opportunity to find a dignified, safe, and loving future. From the very beginning, Menta has shown herself to be a particularly affectionate dog and animal rescue association. She has devoted herself to caring for her little ones, giving them security and affection even in a completely new context for her. Her maternal instinct and sweet nature have been constant throughout the process. The female puppies—Pipa, Leni, Tani, and Pusa, the smallest—arrived as real balls of energy and curiosity. In their first days, they had mange and ringworm, the result of a lack of prevention and basic care, but thanks to veterinary treatment and care received at the animal shelter, they are now fully recovered. Currently, three of them have already been adopted, and Menta and the little Pipa continue to search for a home. This story reminds us of the importance of sterilization and responsible pet ownership, as unwanted litters remain one of the main causes of abandonment. Fortunately, in this case, Menta and her daughters had a second chance. We are looking for responsible and committed families willing to offer stability, love, and long-term care. Menta deserves, finally, to leave behind her role as a mother and start a peaceful life as a family companion, and her female puppies need an environment where they can grow up safe and happy. Menta is in search of a family that can dedicate time and care and education to stabilize her and feel that she will not be left behind. If you feel you can offer them the home they deserve, do not hesitate to contact us. Sometimes, a responsible decision changes many lives. If you live in the province of Castellón and want to adopt a companion or know someone who wants to adopt a furry friend, that is Menta. Send a WhatsApp message. If you cannot adopt but want to sponsor a puppy, sponsor/adopt Menta. Click and choose your best sponsorship option.

About Menta y Pipa

What life with Menta y Pipa looks like

Menta y Pipa is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Huellas Callejeras in Spain.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Menta y Pipa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Menta y Pipa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Huellas Callejeras handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Menta y Pipa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Menta y Pipa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Huellas Callejeras will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Menta y Pipa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Menta y Pipa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Huellas Callejeras early rather than rehoming privately; they know Menta y Pipa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
