Merrel arrived at the pound with Yoyo and has shown himself to be a friendly and adaptable dog. While he can be a little shy at first, once he feels safe, he quickly warms up and enjoys cuddles and attention. Merrel has been integrated well with many other dogs and gets along nicely with them. Recently, he has formed a special friendship with Pili, and the two are inseparable during their daily 15-minute patio breaks, playing as much as time allows and completely focused on each other. Merrel, of course, loves going out for walks, although this unfortunately happens quite rarely due to the large number of dogs and the limited number of volunteers. When he is lucky enough to go out, he can be a little stressed at the beginning, which is completely understandable as he wants to take everything in. However, he settles during the walk and becomes calmer as he goes along. He does not seem bothered by the light traffic in the rural area surrounding the pound, nor by other dogs passing by.
