Mia

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 4 months

Residence: Romania 🐶💛 Mia – a small heart searching for love 🏡💞 The little Mia had a tough start in life 💔🐾 When found as a tiny puppy on the street, she was taken to a public shelter by dog catchers 😢. There, she sat fearfully and alone – without protection, without hope, alone in a foreign world. But then, the good fortune 🍀✨: Our dear Monika discovered Mia and gave her a second chance 🤍. She took Mia in and showed her for the first time what it feels like to be cared for, safe, and loved 🏡💞. Mia is a very special little girl dog 🌸. She is sensitive, curious, and ready to finally learn the beautiful side of dog life 🐕💖. With patience, trust, and loving affection, she will blossom and discover all the joy that a warm home life has to offer 🌈🐾. Mia gets along well with fellow animals 🐶🤝🐶 and feels comfortable in their company. However, cats should not live in her future home 🚫🐱. Those who meet Mia with sensitivity will win a loyal, grateful companion who will give her heart forever ❤️🐶. Perhaps the person who shows Mia how wonderful life can be – and gives her a forever home – is waiting somewhere right now 🏡🤍🐾. Mia is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, neutered, and has been checked by a veterinarian and is in possession of a Eu-Animal Passport. All our dogs travel with official trace papers and Paragraph 11 approval to Germany. Our dogs are additionally tested for Mediterranean diseases via a rapid test. The adoption fee is 500€ plus 30€ for the purchase of safety gear. Note: When we assign our dogs to certain breeds, we base our decision solely on their outward appearance and observable behavior (phenotype). This assignment is made with the best of intentions and knowledge of the club and the involved veterinarians. However, these descriptions do not necessarily correspond to the actual genetic makeup (genotype), as their reliable determination would only be possible through DNA analysis. Furthermore, the behavioral and character description of each animal is based on careful observations by animal welfare workers at the intake shelters or by the respective foster facilities. It should be noted that these assessments are based solely on the current local conditions at the intake shelters or foster facilities. This animal can be anxious in unfamiliar situations.

About Mia

What life with Mia looks like

Mia is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Rescued Souls e.V. in Pfinztal.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mia, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mia?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Rescued Souls e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mia on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mia if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Rescued Souls e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mia already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mia isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Rescued Souls e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mia and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
