Michelin

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 7 years

Michelin and three others were our incoming animals during the evacuation of the Gyömrői Kutyamentsvár Animal Shelter. Born in March 2019, large-sized, wire-haired mixed breed male. Michelin has started a better life. His first stop was our shelter, where he received his missing vaccinations and after being neutered, we hope to find him a family soon, where he can live as a family member. One of the bravest and kindest members of the group. His trust can be won quickly and the leash is not his enemy. So far, he has lived with three males, so we think he can adapt to another dog. Unfortunately, he tested positive for heartworm upon admission, so he will need further tests soon.

Michelin és három társa további érkezőink voltak a kiűrítés alatt álló gyömrői Kutyamentsvár Állatotthonból. 2019. márciusi születésű, nagytestű, drótszőrű keverék kan. Michelin elindult egy jobb élet felé. Első állomása menhelyünk lett, ahol megkapta hiányzó oltásait és ivartalanítás után remélhetőleg hamar családot is találunk, ahol családtagként élhet. A csapat egyik legbátrabb, kedves tagja. Nagyon hamar elnyerhető a bizalma és a póráz sem az ellensége. Eddig három kanna élrt együtt, ezért szerintünk más kutya mellé is beszoktathat. Sajnos bekerüléskor elvégzett szívféregtesztje pozitív lett, ezért hamarosan további vizsgálatokra lesz szüksége. About Michelin

What life with Michelin looks like

Michelin is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Noé Állatotthon in Budapest.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Note from the shelter: Heartworm positive - needs treatment and ongoing medical monitoring

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Michelin, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Michelin?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Noé Állatotthon handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Michelin on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Michelin if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Noé Állatotthon will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Michelin already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Michelin isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Noé Állatotthon early rather than rehoming privately; they know Michelin and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
