adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Michelle has found her home! Her story: The charming band Raja, Anela, Michelle, and Malia is on the search for happiness and affection – a loving home. The quartet was born in the mountains of Romania – a fate for many strays in Romania. Their mother was simply abandoned at night and gave birth to the sweet band the next day. Now the little ones can find peace at our dear animal rescuer Tina. Starting in mid-April, the little ones can embark on their journey to happiness, and Michelle could pack her little backpack to travel to her heart's people. How can one resist when those button eyes shine with longing? Michelle is a little eye-catcher with her white/brown fur. Our charming Michelle is still a little, delicate mouse and will grow to be about 60 to 65 cm when fully grown. She is now about 2.5 months old and loves to spend time with her siblings. She is pampered and stroked by her Romanian foster parents with great affection. Michelle lives in the foster home with many fellow animals and also has daily contact with cats. Michelle and her siblings have daily contact with people and can move freely in the courtyard during the day, play and frolic with fellow animals. As a mixed breed of herding dogs, it is important that Michelle's people know that herding dogs are independent personalities that require a loving consequence. They have a very calm and gentle nature. Patience, understanding, and especially time are the keys to building a great human-dog bond. Michelle is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. She brings her EU pet passport and can travel after a positive Verliebt in Michelle? Then sign up quickly! Many thanks Angela! About Michelle

What life with Michelle looks like

Michelle is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Michelle, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Michelle?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Michelle on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Michelle if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Michelle already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Michelle isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Michelle and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
