Our Micky is a neutered herding dog-mixed breed male dog born in November 2023 who came to us because his previous owners were overwhelmed with him. He currently weighs 45 kg and may still grow a few more centimeters. His new owners should therefore be physically matched with him. If you bring the necessary breed experience and leadership skills, you will have a loyal and cuddly companion with Micky. With his trusted people, he shows friendliness and playfulness. Breed-wise, he is suspicious of strangers, diligently defends his territory, and makes decisions independently when his owner does not take charge. He generally gets along with female dogs and male dogs, but decides based on affinity. Children and cats should not live in his new home. In the animal shelter, his existing basic obedience is continuously expanded, and situations in which he is still unsure are worked on. Since Micky has a prey drive, situations with moving objects, such as cyclists, roller skaters, wildlife, etc., must be clarified with him in a timely manner. As the handsome male dog unfortunately has moderate hip dysplasia, his new home should be on ground level and preferably have a garden with a sufficiently high fence, in case he has any dumb ideas. Micky currently has no limitations or problems regarding his diagnosis.

Unser Micky ist ein im November 2023 geborener, kastrierter Herdenschutzhund-Mischlingsrüde, der zu uns kam, weil seine Vorbesitzer mit ihm überfordert waren. Er wiegt aktuell 45 kg und wächst vielleicht auch noch ein paar Zentimeter. Seine neuen Besitzer sollten ihm deshalb kräftemäßig gewachsen sein. Wenn man die nötige Rasseerfahrung und Führungskompetenz mitbringt, hat man mit Micky einen treuen und verschmusten Begleiter. Bei seinen Bezugspersonen zeigt er sich freundlich und verspielt. Rassebedingt ist er bei Fremdpersonen misstrauisch, verteidigt sein Revier pflichtbewusst und trifft Entscheidungen gerne selbstständig, wenn sein Besitzer dies nicht für ihn übernimmt. Er verträgt sich generell mit Hündinnen und Rüden, entscheidet aber nach Sympathie. Kinder und Katzen sollten nicht in seinem neuen Zuhause leben. Im Tierheim wird sein bereits vorhandener Grundgehorsam stetig erweitert und auch an Situationen gearbeitet, in denen er noch unsicher ist. Da Micky Jagdtrieb hat, muss man Situationen mit bewegten Objekten, wie Radfahrer, Rollerfahrer, Wild, etc. rechtzeitig mit ihm klären. Da der hübsche Rüde leider eine mittelgradige Hüftdysplasie hat, sollte sein neues Zuhause ebenerdig sein und gerne über einen Garten mit ausreichend hohem Zaun verfügen, falls er mal auf dumme Gedanken kommt.
