Micky – born April 2018 – 240525 “I am diligent and curious, but also easily frustrated, insecure, and sensitive – that’s who I am.” Gender: male, neutered Birth date: April 2018 Height: under knee-high In the animal shelter since: March 2021 Gets along with dogs: by sympathy Children in the same household: no Home sought: a quiet, childless home in the countryside The sensitive, 2018-born mixed-breed male dog Micky has been waiting for “his” people for a while, who must initially give him time for getting to know each other, approaching, and handling, as Micky unfortunately gets overwhelmed quickly and then snaps. Micky walks calmly on the leash and knows indoor spaces, but in a new environment, he still needs to practice calming down. “I would love to be everywhere and get to know everyone and everything – I am simply so curious! Unfortunately, I often forget how much foreign people and touches can overwhelm me or how frustrating it is when I can’t go somewhere! Then I get rough and also pinch. My foster mom can sing a song about that, but she now knows how to keep me occupied: small exploration tours on the leash, searching for treats on the grass, and practicing a whole bunch of tricks! I could learn new commands for hours with her, and I already know quite a few. Learning makes me incredibly happy. What I still need now is a loving home and someone who can teach me the opposite with a lot of patience: calmness. Just lying around and letting the world pass by would do me good. Micky geht brav an der Leine und kennt Innenräume, in neuer Umgebung muss er jedoch noch üben, zur Ruhe zu kommen. „Am liebsten würde ich gerne überall dabei sein, und jeden und alles kennenlernen – ich bin einfach so neugierig! Leider vergesse ich aber oft, wie schnell mir fremde Menschen und Berührungen zu viel werden oder wie frustrierend es ist, wenn ich mal nicht wo hindarf! Da werde ich dann grob und zwicke auch. Meine Patin kann da ein Lied davon singen, aber mittlerweile weiß sie, wie man mich am besten beschäftigt: kleine Erkundungstouren an der Leine, Leckerlis in der Wiese suchen und ganz viele Tricks üben! Ich könnte stundenlang mit ihr neue Kommandos lernen, und kann auch schon echt viele. Lernen macht mir unglaublich viel Spaß. Was ich jetzt noch brauche, ist ein liebevolles Zuhause und jemanden, der mir mit viel Geduld auch das Gegenteil beibringt: Ruhe.
