Middleton

Male · Puppy · 3 months

Released on April 25, 2021 from a so-called "slaughter" pound in Romania. Arrived in France in a foster family on December 17, 2022, this family facing personal difficulties and with no foster family available, Middleton was placed in care with Carole on April 4, 2023. Over the months, Middleton has evolved well. Once at ease, he is an adorable and calm dog. He appreciates comfort, is clean, and enjoys outdoor walks. Bonded with his human and very affectionate, Middleton prefers to be the only dog in the family. Manipulations can sometimes be difficult for him when he doesn't know. Middleton will need a patient and gentle family who takes his fears into consideration and continues working with him. He is happy during the volunteers' visits to the care facility. He appreciates their attentions, their caresses, and treats. He follows them without a problem on walks. During the August 2025 visit, he was able to take a walk with a playful and energetic female puppy. He preferred to sniff her scent rather than engage with her. On January 20, 2026, Middleton changed care facilities. He is now in the 76th with a larger enclosure. His arrival went very well. He quickly asked for caresses from the caretaker. He is placed next to Baklava who barks at him, and Middleton pays her no attention. Middleton is visible in the 76th.

FR·Show original

About Middleton

What life with Middleton looks like

Middleton is a large puppy/kitten dog waiting at 30 Millions d'Amis in Paris.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Middleton, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Middleton?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. 30 Millions d'Amis handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Middleton on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Middleton if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — 30 Millions d'Amis will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Middleton already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Middleton isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with 30 Millions d'Amis early rather than rehoming privately; they know Middleton and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
