MIGDAŁ

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 10 months

MIGDAŁ is a small, about 10-year-old dog with short legs, who looks like a little, black and tan round ball of warmth. He has soft, thick fur in deep black with reddish markings on the muzzle, paws and above the eyes - as if someone had gently brushed him with a brush. His ears are small, slightly drooping, and his muzzle is mature, with a touch of gray that only adds to his charm and nobility. However, what is most touching are his eyes... You can see characteristic white "almonds" in them, which reveal that MIGDAŁ is blind. It is from them that he got his name. Although his gaze is cloudy, there is something extremely calm and gentle in it - as if saying: "I trust, even though I can't see." MIGDAŁ is a dog with a wonderful, balanced character. He's a real angel - quiet, polite, very calm and composed. He doesn't seek chaos or intense experiences, but safety and closeness to people. MIGDAŁ does his best. As soon as he gets time to get to know the area, he starts moving more confidently. He remembers the space, learns the layout of the surroundings and finds peace in it. He just needs a patient caregiver who will show him the world step by step - calmly, without rushing. This is a dog perfect for a quiet home. He doesn't need much - just a stable, safe place, no sudden changes in the environment and a person who will be with him. For a blind dog, routine, gentle guidance and communication through voice and touch are extremely important. MIGDAŁ repays with something priceless - a calm presence and great love. We are looking for a home for him that will see in him what cannot be seen with eyes. Someone who will give him time, heart and a sense of security. MIGDAŁ doesn't need much, but deserves everything that is best. Maybe it's you who will show him that the world - even invisible - can be a good and safe place.

PL·Show original

To piesek idealny do spokojnego domu.

About MIGDAŁ

What life with MIGDAŁ looks like

MIGDAŁ is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting MIGDAŁ, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about MIGDAŁ?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw MIGDAŁ on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt MIGDAŁ if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is MIGDAŁ already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if MIGDAŁ isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know MIGDAŁ and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
