MIGDAŁ

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 4 years

Migdał is a 12-kilogram, 4-year-old boy who was found tied to a tree in Stalowa Wola. Despite what happened to him, he still trusts humans and is very seeking closeness. He is an incredibly sociable and cuddly dog. He loves people, loves the couch and would most likely be next to a human all the time. He is polite, enters the kennel nicely, responds to the call and maintains cleanliness. It is clear that he really needs his place and someone who will show him a normal life. He gets along with female dogs, but should rather be the only dog in the house, because he can be possessive. Unfortunately, he does not tolerate cats. He still has a slight paralysis on the leash and bad associations, so he needs patience and calm work, but he is getting better. He is a dog thirsty for human and love. If he had his caregiver exclusively, he would be the perfect companion.

PL·Show original

Migdał to około 12-kilogramowy 4 letni chłopak, który został znaleziony przywiązany do drzewa na działkach w Stalowej Woli. Mimo tego, co go spotkało, dalej ufa człowiekowi i bardzo szuka bliskości. To niesamowicie kontaktowy i przytulaśny pies. Uwielbia ludzi, kocha kanapę i najchętniej cały czas byłby obok człowieka. To pies spragniony człowieka i miłości. Gdyby miał swojego opiekuna na wyłączność, byłby idealnym towarzyszem.

About MIGDAŁ

What life with MIGDAŁ looks like

MIGDAŁ is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Stalowowolskie Stowarzyszenie Opieki nad Zwierzętami in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting MIGDAŁ, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about MIGDAŁ?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Stalowowolskie Stowarzyszenie Opieki nad Zwierzętami handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw MIGDAŁ on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt MIGDAŁ if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Stalowowolskie Stowarzyszenie Opieki nad Zwierzętami will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is MIGDAŁ already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if MIGDAŁ isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Stalowowolskie Stowarzyszenie Opieki nad Zwierzętami early rather than rehoming privately; they know MIGDAŁ and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
