Mihai
Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 7 years
Mihai, born in 2019 and about 56 cm tall, is a calm, friendly dog, and a handsome one too. His two-colored eyes give him a distinctive, almost mysterious appearance: one is amber, the other a brilliant blue. Mihai originally came from the horror shelter in Busca. From there he first moved to the shelter in Campurelu, until in June 2025 he was lucky enough to move to the "training camp" in Izvoru. There he shows that there is much more to him than a quiet observer. With patience and affection, he is gradually beginning not only to allow petting but to enjoy it. His progress is clearly noticeable: step by step he opens up and trusts a little more. Mihai is a dog with a fine, sensitive nature. He does not push himself forward but watches first before seeking contact. For people who approach him quietly and respectfully, he will become a loyal, balanced companion. With the right mix of patience, understanding and loving consistency, Mihai can keep growing and build trust. He is now ready for the next step: Mihai can travel abroad starting immediately. We are looking for a home or a foster placement where he can finally settle in, with people who give him time to open up at his own pace and who appreciate his gentle soul. Currently, due to lack of exercise and kennel life, he carries a bit too much weight. We therefore also hope for people who will help him reach a healthy, suitable weight. Mihai is vaccinated, microchipped and neutered, and will be placed with a protection contract after a positive pre-screening. General note about our dogs: Our dogs in Romania are visited regularly so that we can reassess their behavior and development again and again. These personal impressions help us greatly in presenting each individual dog as accurately as possible. However, we would like to point out that a dog in a new environment, with new people, new routines and new impressions, may show itself differently. This is completely normal and part of any process of change. Many dogs open up even faster at home and show sides that were not visible at the shelter. Our assessments are therefore based on current observations, but they are not a guarantee of every behavior in a new setting. They are meant to provide guidance and show how the dog presents itself at the shelter, and what potential lies within him. We are convinced that with patience, understanding and a loving environment, every dog can find his way and continue to develop positively.
