Miki

Male · Adult · 5 years

Miki is looking for an active home! Miki is 3 years old and weighs 12 kg. He arrived at our animal shelter because his older caregiver could no longer take care of him. He is a friendly, energetic dog who values close contact with humans. He loves spending time near his caregiver, snuggling up, and happily accompanies him in shared activities. He knows the command "give a paw" and is happy to cooperate with humans. He can walk on a leash, though he sometimes pulls a bit, so the future caregiver should continue working on calm walks. For Mikiego, we are looking for an active home that will provide him with the right amount of exercise, shared walks, and time with humans. In return, he will gain a loyal, happy, and devoted canine friend. This description was created based on observations of the dog at the animal shelter. Miki is under the care of OTOZ Animals animal shelter in Tczew. The animal shelter's registration number is 101/26. He is neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and sterilized.

Miki szuka aktywnego domu! Potrafi komendę „daj łapkę” i chętnie współpracuje z człowiekiem. W zamian zyska wiernego, radosnego i oddanego psiego przyjaciela. About Miki

What life with Miki looks like

Miki is a medium-sized adult dog waiting at OTOZ Animals — Schronisko w Tczewie in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Miki, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Miki?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. OTOZ Animals — Schronisko w Tczewie handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Miki on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Miki if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — OTOZ Animals — Schronisko w Tczewie will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Miki already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Miki isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with OTOZ Animals — Schronisko w Tczewie early rather than rehoming privately; they know Miki and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
