adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal!Milan….Rest in peace! His story: Milan wishes for security. Milan was found with his three siblings on a field. Alone, the little puppies lay in the field, hoping for a miracle. Luckily, a man with his dog went for a walk and found the little puppies. Now, the two-month-old Milan, just like his siblings, is searching for a warm forever home where he can say goodbye to the start of his life. Milan is a really lovable puppy. He is playful, open, and cuddly. A perfect family dog. Since he is still so young, there should be no problems with other four-legged friends. Milan is already looking forward to long cuddle hours that will give him the security he and his siblings so desperately wished for. However, since Milan is still a puppy, he still has a lot to learn, like the puppy multiplication table. At first, a little patience is needed because what is learned is not immediately put into practice or sometimes even forgotten, especially during puppyhood. The good news is that this time will pass. To not just practice the puppy multiplication table with Milan, we recommend visiting a positively working puppy school where Milan can apply and demonstrate what he has learned, and also make more social contacts and learn more about interacting with other dogs. After the successful training sessions in school, you can then snuggle up on the couch together and reward yourselves with a movie night. Milan travels microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated with an EU pet passport to his new home. We would also be happy to have Milan in a foster home for our sweet puppy. Can Milan forget his past with you? Many thanks to Lotti v. P.! You gave Milan his name and supported him with a sponsorship.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen!Milan….Ruhe in Frieden! Vielen Dank an Lotti v. P.!

About Milan

What life with Milan looks like

Milan is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Milan, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Milan?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Milan on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Milan if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Milan already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Milan isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Milan and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
