Milia

Mixed Breed · Unknown

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! Milia has found a wonderful home! Her story: Millia, a charming kitten about eight months old, has a loving and playful nature. She was found in a box with her sister, where only some dog food was left behind. Although a young man discovered her, neither he nor his family could take her in. Despite this difficult beginning, Millia has nothing but love to give. She is a very social cat who gets along well with other cats and therefore should not be kept as a single cat. With her sweet, active, and gentle personality, she quickly adapted to her foster home and formed a close bond with people and other cats. For her travel arrangements, Millia, like all our cats and tomcats, has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. She has already tested negative for FIV and FeLV and will also carry an EU pet passport. Many thanks to Julia & Fabian K.

About Milia

What life with Milia looks like

Milia is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Milia, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Milia?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Milia on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Milia if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Milia already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Milia isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Milia and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
