Milka

European Shorthair · Female · Kitten · 4 months

Milka ID No.: 142928 Breed: EKH Age: 06/2022 Gender: female Housing: Indoor cat Neutered/Spayed: Yes Location: Marbella Inquiry form Milka was unfortunately found alone as a tiny kitten on the street. She has grown into a beautiful young cat. True to her age, she loves playing and cuddling with other cats, playing chase, and exploring the world. She is open, affectionate, and cuddly with people. Milka will not be rehomed as a single cat—there should already be similarly aged cats in her new home. She would happily bring along her two friends Amber & Peter, who are her best buddies at the foster home and with whom she spends lots of time. That would be a dream come true for Milka… though it’s not required. She is vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Vaccinations: Yes + €85.00 transport fee Contact: Andrea Mürner Tel: Email:

About Milka

What life with Milka looks like

Milka is a puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at Helfende Hände e.V. in Germany.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Milka, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Milka?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Helfende Hände e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Milka on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Milka if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Helfende Hände e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Milka already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Milka isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Helfende Hände e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Milka and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
