Millie Steckbrief ♀️ female / neutered 🎂 02/2024 (estimated) ⚖️ ca. 32 cm, 8 kg ✔️ vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed 📖 Bosnian pet certificate 🐈 compatibility with others: Unfortunately, testing compatibility with other cats cannot be done at the shelter. 📍 animal shelter Neverland (Bosnia) Kuckuck, I am the cheerful Millie! I spent some time on the streets before I became pregnant and gave birth to five magical little puppies. Unfortunately, at a place that was far too dangerous for me and my offspring, neighbors asked the animal shelter Neverland for help to bring us to safety. ♥️ In the protected shelter, I could raise my babies with love and be a great mother to them. Now that they are old enough, I can do the things a young puppy likes to do – like a lot of playing, for example! 😍 I have found some wonderful friends here, with whom I like to run the runs all day and make mischief. Although I am one of the smallest here, I know exactly what I want! And actually, I am the boss of this place, but hush, we don't want anyone to feel left out. 😌😂 For my future, I wish for a loving and active family that will take me on adventures and teach me many new things. Because I know nothing about how life in a family works. Would you like to show me everything and love me forever and ever? Then please get in touch and ask about Millie, so we can start our lives together soon!

About Millie

What life with Millie looks like

Millie is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Stray Dogs Bosnien e.V. in Schwabach.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Millie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Millie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Stray Dogs Bosnien e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Millie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Millie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Stray Dogs Bosnien e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Millie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Millie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Stray Dogs Bosnien e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Millie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
