Milly

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 5 years

Milly is a charming female dog born in May 2021 who has escaped from a killing station and is currently in one of our foster homes in 35066. With a shoulder height of approximately 48 cm and a weight of about 15 kg, she has a pleasant, medium size and proves to be a real prize in her foster family. Her foster family is absolutely smitten, as Milly is an incredibly loving and affectionate dog. She enjoys close contact with her humans and shows her very best, very sweet side when interacting with children. She also gets along fantastically with other animals. She lives with a cat at home, with whom she is super compatible. She is also completely relaxed with dogs and has gotten along with all the dogs she has met so far. The topic of driving does not pose any problems for the uncomplicated dog. She is still not perfectly house-trained, but the development is moving in a very good direction. If you offer her regular walks outside, it works really well. The fact that Milly is now looking for her own home is not due to her, but due to the circumstances of the foster home and its own dog. On balance, she is simply a dream dog. With her gentle, friendly nature, we can also imagine her ideally for dog beginners. She is looking for a loving home where she can fully arrive and spend her new life in security. 🟢Interested? Please fill out our self-assessment

🟢Interesse? Bitte fülle unsere Selbstauskunft aus

About Milly

What life with Milly looks like

Milly is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Milly, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Milly?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Milly on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Milly if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Milly already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Milly isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Milly and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
