Milo

Female · Adult · 6 years

Milo is almost 10 years old and despite his age, he is lively, curious, and always where the action is. He loves to walk around at a fast pace, watch his surroundings, and take small sprints in the field. When he finds a really nice spot in the grass, he can afford a little break in life. Milo is a very social and affectionate dog who happily comes forward to greet. A few pats quickly turn him into a little cat and he happily rubs against your legs. He is treat motivated, travels by car without problems, and can be alone for short periods. Milo easily gets worked up and has difficulty completely switching off in new or chaotic environments. He likes to keep an eye on his surroundings and can bark a lot, especially at other dogs. Dog meetings work better when he is given some space and time. He also jumps a lot when he is happy or excited. Behind all of this is a very kind, charming and a bit spoiled dog who needs clarity, patience and someone who can help him land and find calm in daily life. Milo is looking for a calmer home where he doesn't have to deal with too much running and stress around him. He would thrive best with someone who has dog experience and understanding for dogs with a lot of feelings and energy despite increasing age. A home where they appreciate his personality, can continue training calmness and give him security will get back an incredibly nice and entertaining little friend.

SV·Show original

About Milo

What life with Milo looks like

Milo is a small adult dog waiting at Hundstallet in Stockholm.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇸🇪Adopting from Sweden

Swedish shelters require an adoption application and home visit. Animals are chipped, vaccinated, and sterilized. Cross-border placements within the EU use the standard pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Milo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Milo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hundstallet handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Milo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Milo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hundstallet will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Milo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Milo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hundstallet early rather than rehoming privately; they know Milo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (SV). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
