Milo (m)

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 4 months

MILO (born in 2021 and is approximately 60 cm tall) – there are these dogs that take your breath away. One second and he has snuck into your heart. So it went with our German, befriended animal rescuer. She went to the kennel for another dog – and then there was Milo and everything stood still. MILO came to the animal shelter in 2021 as a young puppy. His siblings were all adopted. Milo stayed behind. He grew and became one of 300 dogs… And through all the work on site, not everyone can be shown. Milo is wonderful, grandiose, makes your heart jump higher, and you don’t want to leave without him. A happy boy, friendly, extremely people-oriented and cuddly. Yet he is not pushy and still shows “Hey, I’m here, please don’t overlook me!” Somehow, everything about him is great 🥰 We could keep writing this forever, but check out his videos – there you’ll see that he is a very special dog. We’ll take you out of there. We’ll bring you into the world and make a difference, little man! Who falls in love with the gentle male dog and gives him his heart and a happy future??? He will be microchipped, dewormed, vaccinated, neutered, and travel with a Snap4 test. MILO will be rehomed with V. Contact: or on fb All our dogs come to Pottenstein and want to be picked up here. All our dogs travel with official Trace papers and of course, we also have Paragraph 11.

About Milo (m)

What life with Milo (m) looks like

Milo (m) is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. in Nürnberg.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Milo (m), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Milo (m)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Milo (m) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Milo (m) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Milo (m) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Milo (m) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Milo (m) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
