Milos

Mixed Breed Cat · Male

Description Our animal welfare workers report: Milos lived until recently with eight other cats with an elderly lady who fell seriously ill and was no longer able to care for herself and the cats. Her admission to a care home meant that for the little furballs, they were exposed to being on the street, as is customary in Spain. But they had an angel who wouldn’t allow that. A neighbor informed us about the sad situation for Milos and his friends, and we searched for foster placements. Thanks to the help of our family, all the cats were safely placed. The pretty Rottweiler lives since then in peace with other cats at a foster home, where he is lovingly cared for. He plays and cuddles with his cat friends and enjoys cuddles from us humans. He is very loving and attentive. Milos dreams of his own cat kingdom where he gets more attention and can further develop his sweet nature. He will trust his human and enrich his presence. Who falls in love with the cuddly beautiful Rottweiler and gives him his own cat kingdom? The animal presented here lives at a foster home which houses many animals. For these animals, we are searching for a home for a loving and safe life in the new home. The descriptions are so brief because there simply isn’t time to provide detailed descriptions during the daily work of caring for all the animals. If interested, a detailed description can be requested, please send your questions directly via email to the address provided. We will try to answer these as soon as possible. Home Sought For Milos we are searching for a loving, understanding home. Our cats come, wherever health and age allow, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and with an EU Pass. Additionally, they are tested for FELV/FIV. We look forward to your contact. This animal was abandoned.

About Milos

What life with Milos looks like

Milos is a adult mixed breed cat cat waiting at Tierischgeholfen e.V. in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Milos, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Milos?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierischgeholfen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Milos on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Milos if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierischgeholfen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Milos already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Milos isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierischgeholfen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Milos and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
