Adopt Milutin

Mixed Breed · Male

Milutin is looking for a home. He is 2 years old, free of parasites, vaccinated and neutered, and negative for feline infectious diseases. He was rescued from the street with his sister Dara and adopted by us. We already had a cat named Lara, who is two years older than them. As he grew up, Milutin wanted to take over dominance over the oldest one, Lara, and eventually started to chase her. Lara began to avoid him, retreating to the wardrobe where she found her safe place. We reacted, calmed down, read and asked for advice on how to solve this, however, it didn't work out, a month ago the older cat attacked him so much that we barely managed to save him! Since then, the two of them cannot be in the same space. He is with my parents who do not want a pet. He is very kind, nice with people, very sociable, a real host who will always greet you and accompany you, he loves to be brushed and participates in all activities. He likes to play, to sleep next to us, he has grown into a very handsome cat, with "tufts on the tips of his ears". A gentle giant - that's how I call him. He has beautiful large eyes, a tiger pattern and soft fur. He weighs 7.5 kg, healthy. Transportation is arranged for Belgrade. With him come his things: the basket where he sleeps, his favorite pillow, food and water bowls, toys, closed toilet, litter he uses and the food he is currently eating, vaccination certificate.

About Milutin

What life with Milutin looks like

Milutin is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at Feniks in Belgrade.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇷🇸Adopting from Serbia

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Milutin, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Milutin?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Feniks handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Milutin on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Milutin if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Feniks will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Milutin already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Milutin isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Feniks early rather than rehoming privately; they know Milutin and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (SR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
