MIMI & MÖTZU – outdoor cats Breed: EHK / striped with white & striped Gender: female & male Updated: April 10, 2026 The cats Mimi and Mötzu can unfortunately no longer stay on the farm where they currently live and are now searching for a new home together. Mimi, the female cat, is very cuddly but does not like to be carried or picked up. In December, she had an accident, and as a result, a part of her tail had to be amputated. Mötzu, the tomcat, is also friendly but needs some time from strangers before he opens up. Once he builds trust, he also shows his affectionate side 😉 The two cats can only be rehomed together. We are looking for a new home for the duo, preferably on a farm or similar in a really quiet environment, as they have lived away from the streets. Given their special situation, the usual adoption fee does not apply to these two cats. Further information can be obtained by contacting us via email and attaching the completed questionnaire for the respective animal type. The questionnaire can be found >>> HERE. About MIMI &#038

What life with MIMI &#038 looks like

MIMI &#038 is a medium-sized puppy/kitten cat waiting at Aargauischer Tierschutzverein ATs in Zug (Allenwinden & Neuheim).

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting MIMI &#038, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about MIMI &#038?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Aargauischer Tierschutzverein ATs handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw MIMI &#038 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt MIMI &#038 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Aargauischer Tierschutzverein ATs will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is MIMI &#038 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if MIMI &#038 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Aargauischer Tierschutzverein ATs early rather than rehoming privately; they know MIMI &#038 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
