Adopt Mimi Moo

Yorkshire Terrier · Female · Adult · 4 years

Meet our Mimi Moo! She is a sweet, but shy girl who needs time to feel safe, and show her true colours. During her time at Battersea she has spend some time in foster and we have found this has really helped for her to feel comfortable around her new people and surroundings. Mimi Moo is looking for positive, gentle and understanding Owners to give reassurance and help her to be comfortable, to enjoy life and not be so worried about the world. With time, love and consistency, Mimi will form a strong bond and reveal her affectionate side and then she will enjoy a fuss and a cosy lap. She would really benefit from a home with a nice private garden giving her space to establish routine and continue her house training. It would also help her feel more at ease and give her time to adjust to any new surroundings. Quieter locations with green spaces for walks would be best when she is ready to venture further afield. Mimi has shown that she can feel unsure and a bit worried around other dogs, gradual introductions to calm and friendly dogs could help build her confidence and learn that the world isn’t so scary, she could live with both dogs and cats who are respectful of her space and gentle with their interactions. With the right home, Mimi Moo has so much potential to blossom into a loving and loyal companion. If you feel you have a home to offer Mimi, Please do get in touch as per below: If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about Karl , you can e-mail our rehoming team on to register your interest. tch for the dog in question.

About Mimi Moo

What life with Mimi Moo looks like

Mimi Moo is a adult yorkshire terrier dog waiting at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mimi Moo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mimi Moo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Battersea Dogs & Cats Home handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mimi Moo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mimi Moo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Battersea Dogs & Cats Home will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mimi Moo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mimi Moo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mimi Moo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
