Mimiine

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 4 years

Mimiine is a timid little girl who needs your support. Where do such adorable kittens come from? When do they lose their way home and why does no one look for them? It's an easy question, but it seems hard to find the answer. Most cats have had homes, but for some reason, they ended up with us. Mimiine was a bit grumpy when she first came to our shelter. She looked at us suspiciously and tolerated our attempts to pet her. At first, nothing seemed to please her and she kept herself away from us. However, she quietly observed our activities without seeking contact. Since she had ear mites when she arrived, she needed ear cleaning to prevent inflammation from the dirt that was removed during the process. She didn't like the cleaning either and tried to hide at every opportunity. She knew exactly when it was time for this procedure and pretended to be asleep in her nest. With each passing day, contact with her became easier, and she even enjoyed ear cleaning. At some point, she started waiting for us and took the first steps towards us. Now we have won her trust, and she loves our caresses. Mimiine doesn't always notice right away. She usually falls into a peaceful sleep in her nest. When she hears a familiar voice, she sticks out her cute little nose from the nest and stretches out comfortably. She likes being petted. We rarely see her playing. Instead, she nudges you with her head to keep you from stopping petting her. She gets along with her box mate, but we haven't seen them play together either. This 3-colored girl is a calm and thoughtful one. She doesn't rush into things. Instead, she thinks first and then acts. We think she's balanced and wise. Mimiine would be suitable for living in both an apartment in the city and a house in the countryside. We don't know if she would get along with children, but if they don't rush to hug her right away, we think they will soon become friends. This is what Mimiine is like. Some necessary procedures are still needed before she can go home, if someone wins her heart. The amount of money that is currently missing for the necessary procedures - 80 euros. If you want to support Mimiine in paying for the necessary procedures, please click on "Donate to an animal" in her album and choose a suitable amount. Thank you for caring about and supporting Mimiine's necessary procedures! Thank you for giving her the opportunity to find her real home that she has lost for some reason!

Tagasihoidlik Mimiine vajab teie toetust! Kust tulevad sellised nunnud kiisud. Eks enamustel kassidel on olnud kodu, kuid mingil põhjusel on nad sattunud meie juurde. See 3-värviline piiga ongi selline rahulikuma iseloomuga. Selline see Mimiine meil on.

About Mimiine

What life with Mimiine looks like

Mimiine is a medium-sized adult mixed breed cat waiting at Varjupaikade MTÜ in Tallinn.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇪🇪Adopting from Estonia

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mimiine, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mimiine?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Varjupaikade MTÜ handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mimiine on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mimiine if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Varjupaikade MTÜ will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mimiine already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mimiine isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Varjupaikade MTÜ early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mimiine and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ET). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
