Mindy

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 4 months

Mindy was born in June 2026 and is currently about 21 cm tall. She is expected to reach a medium size of around 50 cm when fully grown. The young female dog is lively, friendly and full of curiosity. With inquisitive glances, she explores her surroundings and takes an interested view of everything that happens around her. She approaches people openly and with a friendly attitude. As is typical for a puppy, Mindy has a lot of nonsense on her mind and is full of energy. She is in an important life phase where she is gathering new experiences daily and slowly learning which rules come with living with humans.Mindy is not yet familiar with life in a house. The many new impressions of family life, various everyday noises and unfamiliar situations will be new territory for her at first. She also needs to be taught the basics of dog etiquette such as house training, leash walking and relaxed alone time. Especially being alone should be built up gently and step by step after a suitable acclimatization period. We are looking for a understanding home for Mindy, which will give her time to settle in and build trust. With patience, love and consistent guidance, the little dog will become a wonderful companion who can accompany her family through life for many years.Mindy is vaccinated and microchipped and will be placed with a protection contract after a positive preliminary check. Due to her age, she is not yet spayed.Departure possible from now! General note on our protégés: Our dogs in Romania are regularly visited so that we can always re-evaluate their behavior and development. These personal impressions help us very much to convey a good picture of each individual dog. Nevertheless, we would like to point out that a dog in a new environment - with new people, new routines and new impressions - can also show itself differently. This is quite normal and is part of every change process. Many dogs even open up faster at home and show sides that were not visible in the shelter. Our assessments are therefore based on current observations, but are not a guarantee for every behavior in the new environment. They should provide orientation and show how the dog presents itself in the shelter - and what potential is in him.We are convinced: with patience, understanding and a loving environment, every dog can find its way and develop positively.

About Mindy

What life with Mindy looks like

Mindy is a medium-sized puppy mixed breed dog waiting at Vierbeiner in Not e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mindy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mindy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Vierbeiner in Not e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mindy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mindy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Vierbeiner in Not e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Mindy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mindy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Vierbeiner in Not e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mindy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
