Adopt MINI

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

Breed: mixed breed Project: Larissa/Greece Gender: female Age: born Feb 2025 Size: medium Weight: approx. 12 kg (as of Aug 2025) Other: very friendly with people and other dogs, very playful, curious, loves snuggle sessions Current Location: Animal shelter in Larissa/Greece MINI's Story The little MINI was found with her brother Mickey on a landfill in Greece – abandoned, hungry, and left to her fate. But MINI is a true fighter: after her first visit to the vet, Parvovirus was diagnosed in her. Despite this serious illness, she did not give up – with lots of love, care, and her strong will to live, she pulled through and is now completely healthy. MINI is a happy, playful, and curious young female dog who is very affectionate with people. She loves to snuggle, play with fellow animals, and explore her world. She gets along well with other dogs and is always friendly and open. Now, MINI just needs one more thing for great joy: a loving home where she can arrive and stay forever. Who will give this brave little soul the security she so deserves? This is a current and ongoing assessment of MINI. How she will behave in the future, especially after moving into a new home, we cannot predict. Like all animals, and indeed like us humans, she will change and continue to develop. But with the right, patient, and loving guidance, MINI will surely become a wonderful family dog. MINI is microchipped, vaccinated, treated for endo- and ectoparasites, and tested for Mediterranean diseases, but she is still too young for spaying. Now, MINI just needs one more thing for great joy: a loving home where she can arrive and stay forever. Who will give this brave little soul the security she so deserves?

Rasse: Mischling Projekt: Larissa/Griechenland Geschlecht: weiblich Alter: geb. 💓

About MINI

What life with MINI looks like

MINI is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierisch Grenzenlos e.V. in Bamberg.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting MINI, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about MINI?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierisch Grenzenlos e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw MINI on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt MINI if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierisch Grenzenlos e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is MINI already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if MINI isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierisch Grenzenlos e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know MINI and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
