Minimanó Mia

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 5 years

Originally arrived: November 28, 2020. She had been adopted secondhand… a ball remained the only thing from her previous life. Minimanó Mia was born in 2020, and in the past few years, all she needed to do was play. Her first foster parent placed her in the well-known foster home, where her microchip helped bring her back to us. Her first guardian didn’t fulfill the terms of the agreement and essentially put her in danger of life. Last December, she was adopted permanently, but she was returned to the family again because “they couldn’t bond.” After a year, she found herself back at the Noah Animal Shelter Foundation — they let her out of the warm home on a cold autumn day. She looked at her guardian and didn’t understand what was happening. Then she looked at us, searching for an answer: why wasn’t it enough… Poor thing is broken, and from the only ball she has, she tries to piece together her life. But a beloved little one: she bounces, cuddles, and whines. We try to ease her pain, but she would be best off in a warm home, on a couch… We can’t let her play with the human again! If you think you would be the perfect home for this dog, sign up! Mia microchipped, vaccinated, and neutered, adoptable as a family pet.

Első örökbefogadója leadta a hírhedt gyömrői horrormenhelyre, ahonnan a chipje segítségével került vissza hozzánk. About Minimanó Mia

What life with Minimanó Mia looks like

Minimanó Mia is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Noé Állatotthon in Budapest.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Note from the shelter: Emotional trauma from multiple abandonments, needs patient and committed owner

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Minimanó Mia, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Minimanó Mia?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Noé Állatotthon handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Minimanó Mia on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Minimanó Mia if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Noé Állatotthon will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Minimanó Mia already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Minimanó Mia isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Noé Állatotthon early rather than rehoming privately; they know Minimanó Mia and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
