She is beginning to enjoy gentle fuss from people she knows and trusts, even rewarding them with some lovely purrs! These little moments are a wonderful sign of how far she is coming.Minnie enjoys playtime, particularly when fishing rod toys make an appearance, and she also loves enrichment activities such as Licky Mats. Her appetite has been improving too, and she enjoys grazing on biscuits throughout the night when everything is peaceful and quiet.Minnie in a nutshell:- Must be rehomed with her sister Willow- The pair must be the only cats in the household- Will need outdoor access once fully settled- Sweet, gentle and gradually growing in confidence- Beginning to enjoy fuss and affection from familiar people- Loves fishing rod toys and Licky Mat enrichment- Enjoys grazing on her biscuits- Needs a patient home where she can settle at her own paceMinnie may need a little time to feel completely comfortable in her new surroundings, but she is already showing that with kindness, patience and positive experiences, her confidence can continue to grow. With Willow by her side and a calm home where she can feel safe, this gorgeous girl has every opportunity to blossom. About Minnie

What life with Minnie looks like

Minnie is a kitten mixed breed cat cat waiting at RSPCA Cornwall Branch in Saint Columb.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months β€” most shelters arrange this before adoption.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Minnie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Minnie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. RSPCA Cornwall Branch handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Minnie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Minnie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” RSPCA Cornwall Branch will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Minnie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Minnie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with RSPCA Cornwall Branch early rather than rehoming privately; they know Minnie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
