adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Minnie has found her home! Her story: Minnie is an incredibly sweet little heartbreaker who, despite a tough start in life, has managed to retain her gentleness. Together with her mother and siblings Posy, Serena, Flynn, Simon, and Phillip, she was found outside a village in Romania – likely abandoned and left to fend for herself. Since then, she has been eagerly waiting in the Shelter in Fantanele for her first home of her own. The young female dog is about 3 months old, roughly 30 cm tall, and is expected to be of medium size. With her fluffy black fur, cute white and black spotted paws, and cautious gaze, she is simply irresistible. Minnie belongs to the more quiet puppies. In new situations, she initially shows herself to be shy and prefers to observe from a safe distance. But when she realizes that you mean her well, she slowly gains trust – and then shows her particularly affectionate side. Snuggling is one of her greatest passions. For Minnie, we wish for a sensitive home with people who will give her the time to settle in at her own pace. With patience, love, and positive reinforcement, she will gradually become braver and explore the world. A visit to a positively working dog training class would be a wonderful support, especially in the important phase of maturing. By the end of April, Minnie can travel to her new life. By then, she will be vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas and will of course bring her EU pet passport. Against an adoption fee, she can soon become part of your family. Maybe Minnie is waiting just for you? She would also be very happy with a loving foster home. Heartfelt thanks to the -Community! You have given Minnie her identity! Date: 30.03.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! About Minnie

What life with Minnie looks like

Minnie is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Minnie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Minnie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Minnie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Minnie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Minnie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Minnie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Minnie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
