Miorita

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 7 years

Miorita, spayed female dog, born circa 2018, approximately 60 cm, 35 kg Miorita is a calm older female dog who gets along well with all dogs. She was caught by ASIPA during a neutering operation. She has certainly had many puppies in her life and must recover from the hardships of her previous life. She was rescued from the village of Mera, where the Lancram dog catchers come every month, making it easy to catch her. Miorita is a sweet older lady who doesn't make big demands anymore. She wants a warm place in your house with you people and would love a garden or balcony where she can lie in the sun. Her home should be on one level; she shouldn't have to walk stairs. Who has a spot? Miorita enjoys life at Asipa - the little attention she gets is probably more than she ever had before. But winter is coming - and by then it would be great to find a warm place. She needs some time to adjust to new things and is very easygoing. She still has a lot to learn - including housebreaking, leash training, and many other things. Also, education, such as life in the domestic environment required, she hasn't had much of that before. We are looking for people who can provide Miorita with enough time, patience, and love. The adopters should be willing to adjust to this dog. She is no longer the youngest. What she needs is love and care and a lot of trust. Miorita will be placed after a pre-check, with a contract and payment of a deposit in the amount of €450.00. She is fully vaccinated and chipped and has an EU health certificate. If you would like to give her a home, we look forward to your message. More animals and information about us can be found at: www.tiernothilfe-ev.de

Miorita, kastr. About Miorita

What life with Miorita looks like

Miorita is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Förderverein Tiernothilfe Siebenbürgen e.V. in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Miorita, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Miorita?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Förderverein Tiernothilfe Siebenbürgen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Miorita on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Miorita if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Förderverein Tiernothilfe Siebenbürgen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Miorita already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Miorita isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Förderverein Tiernothilfe Siebenbürgen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Miorita and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
