Adopt Mira (Мира)

Female · Adult · 4 years

This is Mira, a girl around 3-4 years old from shelter "Gorni Bogrov". Unfortunately, Mira has long been confronted with human cruelty, and when she arrived at the shelter in December 2022, she was scared, all skin and bones. Since then, she has been there, waiting for her freedom and salvation. Thanks to the help of volunteers, she is returning to life and building trust in people. She loves going on walks and walks calmly on a leash. A more experienced person with the breed is being sought for Mira, who can gently build trust in her, because due to the bad experiences she has had, she needs time to trust strangers. But once someone wins her heart, she is ready to give her whole love - warm and genuine. Mira is spayed, vaccinated, registered and has an EU pet passport. She dreams of a warm bed, a cozy home and love! Restore the sparkle in Mira's eyes and show her that life can be beautiful! If you want to adopt Mira, write to the volunteers from "Adopt a Pitbull" or come every Saturday for walks at the shelter between 10-14 o'clock to meet her! If you can't take her home, but want to help her - share the post. Your Mira, shelter "Gorni Bogrov"

About Mira (Мира)

What life with Mira (Мира) looks like

Mira (Мира) is a medium-sized adult dog waiting at Ecoravnovesie Sofia in Sofia.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇧🇬Adopting from Bulgaria

Frequently asked

Adopting Mira (Мира), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mira (Мира)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ecoravnovesie Sofia handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mira (Мира) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mira (Мира) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ecoravnovesie Sofia will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mira (Мира) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mira (Мира) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ecoravnovesie Sofia early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mira (Мира) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (BG). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
