Mira

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 6 years

About 6 years old (born in 2020) 56 cm female, neutered STILL IN POLAND, Boguszyce MIRA – a heart full of joy is searching for her home 💕 MIRA is a cheerful, loving girl who loves people more than anything. She enjoys walks, carries her toy in her mouth, and greets the whole world with a wagging tail and radiant joy ✨. Gentle, kind, and always ready for shared time, she immediately gives her heart to every person. Her story: Mira was found by the roadside – emaciated, exhausted, and with a large tumor on her hind leg, which made every step painful. She seemed to have lost hope for a better life. But then she came to the animal shelter – and everything began to change. With much care, love, and two successful operations, Mira slowly blossomed. The small lumps remaining on her neck cause her no discomfort. Her vet recommends no further operations to avoid compromising her quality of life. Mira is searching for: A loving, quiet home where she can leave behind the stress of the shelter. A family that recognizes how special she is and gives her the second chance she so deserves. Mira is ready to fill her new life with loyalty, gratitude, and unconditional love ❤️. She looks forward to meeting you. Please contact us if you would like to accompany Mira through life. Video:

About Mira

What life with Mira looks like

Mira is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at home4dogs in Home4dogs.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mira, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mira?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. home4dogs handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mira on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mira if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — home4dogs will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mira already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mira isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with home4dogs early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mira and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
