Mira

Mixed Breed · Female · Kitten · 1 month

The fruit of a cat's homelessness - Mira from the mirabelle tree. Autumn was approaching, days were getting shorter, and nights colder. The last gardeners closed their gates. It was only a small step away from also closing the gate in front of the four orphaned kittens. They were thin and weakened, which made them fall ill with "cat flu." Fever, pain from eyes destroyed by the virus, empty bellies, cold and fear - that was their life. Mira was one of the two kittens in the worst condition. When she arrived at the foundation Ja Pacze Sercem, we were determined to save her, but it was not clear for a long time whether we would be able to save her sight. Several months of treatment, which involved instilling eye drops several times a day, were necessary. Thanks to the perseverance of volunteers, the little one kept her vision. Signs of the fight for survival are almost imperceptible. It is a slightly visible third eyelid. And that's all, fortunately. Mira is a small kitten, delicate and shy at first contact. She is afraid of loud noises and sudden movements. However, when she trusts a person, she becomes a cheerful and affectionate kitten, and like any young kitten, she loves play. She can run around all day with her sister. At night, she sleeps tucked in with other cats or her temporary guardian. Mira was born in August 2025. She is vaccinated, spayed, has a microchip, and FIV/FELV tests are negative. We are looking for a home for her with secured windows and a balcony, without the possibility of going out. She can live with other cats, as she is social and cheerful. Give little Mirek a home and together enjoy the fruit of your decision - a life full of sweet human-cat love! *Our love for blind kittens knows no borders, which is why we carry out adoptions in Poland and abroad. ☎️ 500 383 928 📧

To lekko widoczna trzecia powieka. I to wszystko, na szczęście. Mira to mała kicia, delikatna i nieśmiała w pierwszym kontakcie. ☎️ 500 383 928 📧

About Mira

What life with Mira looks like

Mira is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mira, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mira?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mira on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mira if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mira already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mira isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mira and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
