Miranda

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

adoption requirements adoption process Adopt now! Miranda found a home quickly! Her story: Here comes our little magic mouse Miranda. Isn't she simply adorable? Miranda was found alone on the streets of Bistrita in relatively good general condition. This suggests that she probably had owners who got rid of her coldly. Unfortunately, no one responded to the search request. Now, we have promised her that her life from now on will be nothing but wonderful. Miranda is just 25 cm long, a true gem on four legs. The little princess found the good fortune to have a place in one of the few foster homes in Romania. For the delicate mouse, the rough shelter life would have been nothing. Through this, she now knows what life in a household is like and fits in well here. Miranda is very social and has no problems with other dogs or cats. She now enjoys cuddles, which she probably had to go without for a long time. In her future home, one should have a lot of patience with the little dog lady, because in her one-year life, she has already experienced some tough things. Even though she might still have a small mishap now and then, one should gently introduce her to indoor potty training. In Miranda's new home, dogs or cats can also live. Miranda is most looking forward to long walks where she can explore the world and experience new adventures with you. For this to be possible, one should gently teach her to walk on a leash. After an eventful day, there is nothing more beautiful for her than to snuggle up to you in the evening and simply enjoy the time spent with you. Miranda is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas. She will be available for adoption if you show her how wonderful life can be. If you are in love with Miranda and want to show her how wonderful life can be, then feel free to contact us. Many thanks, Katja P.! You named Miranda! Date: 19.04.

Vielen Dank Katja P.! Du hast Miranda ihren Namen geschenkt! About Miranda

What life with Miranda looks like

Miranda is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Miranda, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Miranda?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Miranda on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Miranda if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Miranda already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Miranda isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Miranda and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
