Miro

Male

Miro is waiting for a virtual guardian. Name: Miro Breed: Mix Born: 2012 Sex: Male Size: small Weight: 8 kg Miro is an older, extremely calm and gentle dog who very much needs a bit of warmth, peace and a sense of security. He arrived at our shelter from the Gmina Grodzisk Mazowiecki area. Miro is blind in one eye, but despite this he remains a gentle and cheerful dog who accepts the presence of humans with great trust. This dog does not need much - a quiet place, caring care and a person who will see him as a unique companion. We believe that somewhere he is waiting for a home where his age will not be an obstacle, and a quiet pace of life will prove to be just what both parties need. Miro is waiting for his chance. Maybe he will find his safe corner and a person forever with you? DON'T BUY - ADOPT! A DOG WHO ENTERS OUR SHELTER IS COVERED BY A 14-DAY QUARANTINE. If he is not picked up by the owner during this time, the dog will be: vaccinated, chipped, neutered and we will look for a new guardian for him. The condition for adoption is to fill out the questionnaire available on our website, agree to a pre/post-adoption visit, sign an adoption agreement. About Miro

What life with Miro looks like

Miro is a small adult dog waiting at Fundacja Przyjaciele Braci Mniejszych in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Miro, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Miro?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Przyjaciele Braci Mniejszych handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Miro on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Miro if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Przyjaciele Braci Mniejszych will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Miro already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Miro isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Przyjaciele Braci Mniejszych early rather than rehoming privately; they know Miro and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
