Miruna

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

Miruna was picked up by the Animal Police on the street and is now waiting in the Public Shelter in Baia Mare behind the bars of her kennel for a better future. She may have been heartlessly abandoned and had to suddenly fend for herself, or she may have known life on the streets since she was little - her past unfortunately remains a mystery. But Miruna should not have to live without security, but finally experience how it feels to be welcome and belong forever. Miruna is a small female dog about 2 years old with a shoulder height of approx. 30-35 cm. Her short, smooth coat is deep black and shimmers beautifully shiny depending on the light. Especially her large, light brown eyes catch the eye and form a magical contrast to her dark fur. Her black nose fits harmoniously into the dark facial pattern and underlines her enchanting appearance. With her slender stature, the glossy black coat and her expressive gaze, Miruna is a little dog who has immediately won our hearts. Miruna is initially shy with strangers and needs some time to gain trust. With people she knows, she is friendly and can show her lovable side - a beautiful sign that patience and empathy pay off. She gets along well with other dogs, so a confident dog companion could give her additional security when she arrives. In a new home, much will be strange for Miruna at first, and she must learn at her own pace to find her way in the new world. With loving consistency, patience and positive reinforcement, she can build trust step by step and gain security without being overwhelmed. A positively working dog school can support Miruna and her people in learning together and growing together into a trusting team. Miruna should be allowed to discover the world in small, pleasant steps - with relaxed walks, exciting sniffing rounds and small search games that promote body and head. Loving activities and shared successes can help her become bolder and strengthen the bond with her people. It is important that she does not get under pressure or has to cope with too much at once and always gets enough rest. We wish Miruna a particularly loving, empathetic home with people who understand her initial shyness and give her the time she needs. She needs people who do not force anything from her, celebrate small progress and show her with calmness and reliability that she is safe. If you are interested, please contact us or fill out the self-disclosure form. We also cordially invite everyone who can offer a foster home to contact us. Your support and willingness to give a dog in need a loving home temporarily is a great help to us and the animals. Miruna travels neutered, vaccinated, chipped, dewormed and flea-free and will be placed for a reduced adoption fee and with a valid EU pet passport after a positive pre-control. Thank you Alessa H.! You have given Miruna a name and thus a unique identity. Status: 30.10.2026

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 30.10.2026

About Miruna

What life with Miruna looks like

Miruna is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Miruna, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Miruna?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Miruna on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Miruna if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Miruna already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Miruna isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Miruna and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
