Adopt Misiek

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 8 years

You probably remember me as the pup with big lumps hanging from my tail. The lumps are gone, but for complete happiness I still need one more thing... a home of my own. My previous owners kept me on a leash, now I'm rediscovering the world, and I'd like to do it with my person. At first I was a bit scared, the changes to my tail really hurt, but only a small stump remains instead of a tail. The volunteers call me Misiek because I'm big, strong and fluffy. I love long walks, I'm still a bit afraid of city traffic, but in a quiet neighborhood I'm gaining confidence. Misiek is a larger pup, weighing about 30kg. He's about 8 years old. He's been neutered. He has a friendly, easygoing personality, and gets along well with other dogs.

About Misiek

What life with Misiek looks like

Misiek is a large adult mixed breed animal waiting at Fundacja EkoStraż in Wrocław.

Every animal has their own temperament and history. The shelter knows Misiek far better than any listing can convey — ask about daily routine, ideal household, and what kind of adopter they're hoping for.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Misiek, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Misiek?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja EkoStraż handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Misiek on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Misiek if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja EkoStraż will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Misiek already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most animals on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Misiek isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja EkoStraż early rather than rehoming privately; they know Misiek and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
