MISO

European Shorthair · Male · Kitten · 5 months

Male European cat, microchipped (967000010643790), born 01/04/2026, from Belgium, at the shelter since 28/05/2026. MISO is a shy kitten who needs gentleness and patience. He is still learning to trust the world around him. A socialization period will be necessary to help him open up and feel safe with his new humans. Behind this timidity is a small being full of potential, who will reward his adopter's patience with a beautiful bond once trust is established. His qualities: - Clean - Can handle solitude - Gets along well with other cats - Comfortable in the car/transport - Can live in an apartment, an outdoor space is appreciated, but not essential Points to note: - Shy kitten, requiring real socialization - Contact with young children should be avoided due to his shyness - His compatibility with dogs is still to be evaluated MISO will suit a patient, calm person or family without young children, ready to give him the time he needs to flourish in confidence. For more information or to arrange a meeting, please contact us ONLY by phone at 02 204 49 50. We will be happy to accompany you in this beautiful adventure! Adoption is only possible with a "permit to keep an animal" for people living in the Walloon Region.

About MISO

What life with MISO looks like

MISO is a puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at Help Animals in Brussels.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇧🇪Adopting from Belgium

Belgian shelters operate under regional law (Flanders, Wallonia, Brussels each have their own rules). All adoptions include the Eurochip, vaccinations, and a stewardship contract. Several Flemish shelters partner with Dutch and German rescue networks.

Frequently asked

Adopting MISO, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about MISO?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Help Animals handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw MISO on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt MISO if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Help Animals will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is MISO already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if MISO isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Help Animals early rather than rehoming privately; they know MISO and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
