Miss Tabitha

Female Β· Young Β· 2 years

Meet Tabitha, our lovely long haired tabby who is looking for a quiet new home. She came into us due to her owners poor health and has found the disruption since moving into the cattery quite stressful. Tabitha really needs to get back into a home environment where she can settle into a safe place and find her way. She would benefit from a calm household where so can build her confidence again. Tabitha has always been a shy cat, she would come to see her owner for a fuss and then would go back to her own space so she is quite independent. Due to her quiet nature, we are looking for an indoor home only as she has never had access outside. If you feel you could offer this wonderful girl a secure loving home please consider applying today.

About Miss Tabitha

What life with Miss Tabitha looks like

Miss Tabitha is a young adult cat waiting at Oak Tree Animals in United Kingdom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction β€” every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Miss Tabitha, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Miss Tabitha?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Oak Tree Animals handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Miss Tabitha on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Miss Tabitha if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Oak Tree Animals will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Miss Tabitha already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Miss Tabitha isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Oak Tree Animals early rather than rehoming privately; they know Miss Tabitha and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
