adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Missi and Sippi have found their home! Their story: Witty, communicative, and cuddly cat duo seeks its forever home! The two tigers were found on the streets of Romania when they were only two weeks old, with no trace of their mother. Whether something happened to her or she abandoned them, it's uncertain. Nevertheless, Missi and Sippi were very lucky. They were taken in by a foster home where they were well-nourished. At first, they had eye problems and could only be fed with bottles. But through loving care, they grew into two adult beauties, estimated to be around two years old. Are you looking for a little change from a perhaps dreary everyday life? Then the two are exactly what you need to bring a smile to your face every day. The cuddly duo has, in fact, understood exactly how to make people grin through their actions, as a few moments captured in the photos can attest. Otherwise, the two are super cuddly and also very talkative, so you finally get answers to all the questions you ask yourself. We wish Missi and Sippi a shared home without a free run. However, they would be very happy with a secured balcony. Missi and Sippi are neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. They tested negative for FIV and FeLV. They also have an EU pet passport in their luggage and are ready to travel after a positive health check. Do you want to be brought to laughter by the two and offer them a loving home full of cuddle moments? Many thanks to Silvie S.! You named the two beauties. Status: 31.05.

Vielen Dank an Silvie S.! About Missi & Sippi

What life with Missi & Sippi looks like

Missi & Sippi is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Missi & Sippi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Missi & Sippi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Missi & Sippi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Missi & Sippi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Missi & Sippi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Missi & Sippi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Missi & Sippi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
