Adopt Mistral, cochon d’inde mâle castré, né vers mi 2024 (St Pierre en Auge, 14)

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

Mistral arrived at the shelter in February 2025 and is estimated to have been born in mid-2024. After a difficult start in poor conditions, Mistral took a long time to relax, and although he is not timid as he does not hesitate to push or step on my feet, he avoids contact when possible. He is very vocal when asking for his vegetables and is very greedy; it is therefore necessary to watch his weight, as a few tens of grams less would not harm him. He likes to explore and walk around but not for very long, and he enjoys a small cushion under a shelter to rest on. He is clean and performs almost all of his needs in his litter box. He currently lives in a 4-grid by 2 cage, with blankets, a polar fleece tube, and a large litter box, with access to an adjacent enclosure for 1 to 2 hours a day. Mistral is very interested in other guinea pigs and should not live alone. He has been tested with two females, who found him too persistent for their taste. Therefore, either another non-dominant male or females who accept a bit of a rascal or know how to gently calm him down. Mistral is currently at Saint Pierre en Auge (14) and is available for adoption within less than an hour's drive to allow a meeting and a trial period. Adoption is under a contract, for indoor living as a pet exclusively.
