Adopt Miťa

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

tomcat - Miťa - Míťa, a mischievous troublemaker his brother is Mixie, who is being treated. These two kittens were accidentally found during the capture of adult cats in the village of Milčice. They lived in the garden of an abandoned house near the road. The capture of the kittens took about a week, the kittens were not catchable. Finally, they were caught in a trap, the cage was too small, but they are still shy. They turned out to be nice boys, just don't want to be too friendly, even though for sausage they will come close to the hand, especially Mixie. We don't know what they ate before being captured, but they probably didn't have much, what came to us, they still eagerly eat all the treats and even growl while doing so. The kittens are still shy, but very playful and spirited, they don't let themselves be petted, only briefly at mealtime. It takes time, patience and love.

Chce to čas, trpělivost a lásku.

About Miťa

What life with Miťa looks like

Miťa is a young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Kočičí útulek Radim Kočkám in Radim.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇨🇿Adopting from Czech Republic

Czech shelters (útulky) include sterilization, vaccinations, and microchip ID. The adopter signs a written contract (smlouva) — the shelter may follow up to verify wellbeing.

Frequently asked

Adopting Miťa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Miťa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Kočičí útulek Radim Kočkám handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Miťa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Miťa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Kočičí útulek Radim Kočkám will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Miťa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Miťa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Kočičí útulek Radim Kočkám early rather than rehoming privately; they know Miťa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (CS). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
