adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Mobbi has found a home! His story: 12524 Berlin. Mobbi is waiting in his foster home for you! Sahnebonbon Mobbi has been in his foster home since mid-November and is now searching for his family. As a puppy, Mobbi came into the shelter in Baia Mare with his siblings and, apart from the shelter routine, had the opportunity to learn only travel arrangements. He was almost exclusively confined with his siblings in the yard for the entire time. The young male dog is initially a bit shy. But once he has trust in his people, he is very attentive to them and likes to stay close to them. During walks, which he enjoys and does quite well, he maintains eye contact with his people. Nose work like, for example, mantrailing or object search would likely bring him joy and also strengthen his self-confidence. When there are noises, cars, or people around, he stops, shows interest, and waits for the confirmation of his people that everything is okay. Mobbi is very friendly towards other dogs, enjoys their company without being pushy. He is patient and balanced, and not food-aggressive. Mobbi should always be accompanied with a positively reinforcing training style. A visit to a positively working dog training class would certainly contribute to strengthening the bond between human and dog. For Mobbi, we wish for a family with dog-experienced children aged 7 and older, single individuals with time, or active retirees. He cannot stay alone yet; he would need to learn this after the adjustment period. He would be happy to have dog friends in the family, but this is not a must. Mobbi would like to be visited 2-3 times before his move to get to know his new family. A garden would be a welcome addition for Mobbi. Mobbi is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. He has an EU pet passport with him and after a positive Mobbi and you, the new dream team? Many thanks! Christine L. Thanks to you, Mobbi has his beautiful name and thus a chance to find his family.

About Mobbi

What life with Mobbi looks like

Mobbi is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mobbi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mobbi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mobbi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mobbi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mobbi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mobbi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mobbi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
