Adoption Requirements | Adoption Process | Request to Adopt This Animal Now! Adoption Requirements | Adoption Process | Request to Adopt This Dog Now! Mochi didn’t have an easy start in life. Her mother was hit by a car and died. Mochi and her siblings were left all alone and had to survive for several days without their mother. Fortunately, our animal rescuer Natalia found them in time. She took the little puppies into her care, lovingly bottle-fed them, and gave them the chance at a new life. Today, Mochi lives together with her siblings, other dogs, and cats at Natalia’s foster home in Bistrița. There, she shows herself to be typically puppy-like—cheerful, curious, and incredibly people-oriented. She loves attention, boldly explores her surroundings, and thoroughly enjoys every cuddle and stroke. With her beautiful beige coat and adorable face, Mochi is a real eye-catcher. But even more wonderful than her appearance is her loving nature, which wins hearts by storm. Like every puppy, Mochi is still at the very beginning of her life. She’ll need to learn housebreaking, leash manners, how to stay alone, and all the rules of living together. Of course, little mishaps, chewed-up slippers, and those famous “five minutes” filled with puppy energy are also part of the package. Her future family should accompany her through this exciting phase with patience, understanding, and plenty of humor. Later on, Mochi will enter puberty too. During this time, rules might be questioned once again, and her hearing may sometimes become very selective. A loving, consistent upbringing and attending a positively oriented dog school can provide invaluable support and help you grow together into a strong team. For Mochi, we’re looking for people who are ready to accompany a puppy on her journey into adulthood and give her a home full of love, security, and adventure. Mochi travels to her new home chipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated, accompanied by her EU pet passport. Due to her age, she hasn’t yet been spayed or neutered. After a positive pre-adoption check, she can be rehomed against a protection fee. Who would like to show this little fighter that life can also be full of love and security? Many thanks to Marcel, who gave Mochi her name and thus enabled her to have a chance at a new life. As of: July 18, 2026

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen!

About Mochi

What life with Mochi looks like

Mochi is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mochi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mochi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mochi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mochi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mochi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mochi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mochi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
