Moe

Lurcher · Male · Puppy · 10 months

This is Moe, our lovely little baby of the family! Moe was found stray and after doing his time at the pound, found his way to Sun Valley. Moe is a super confident, goofy, loving guy who could certainly live with a family, and so far we feel can also live with most dogs. He’s a very young dog with a lot of energy so if you do have another dog, he may not be suitable if your dog is old, doesn’t like to play or is more nervous and needs space. He loves to play, chase and be chased, and gets a LOT of enrichment from his lurcher buddy so if you already have an active dog in the home Moe could be lovely to consider. We feel he’s a dog that could be taken anywhere, and would absolutely love being shown the big world and get the opportunity to show off in front of anyone he meets. If you have an active, lively home, Moe would do well there. Moe is gorgeous, young and very friendly so we expect him to get a lot of interest, so please do only apply if you are 100% certain you have the time and energy for a young, lively boy. We all absolutely love Moe here and can’t wait for him to find his family! Do you think you could give a hound a loving home? About Moe

What life with Moe looks like

Moe is a large puppy/kitten lurcher dog waiting at description in United Kingdom.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Moe, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Moe?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. description handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Moe on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Moe if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — description will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Moe already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Moe isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with description early rather than rehoming privately; they know Moe and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
