adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Moiraine has found her home! Her story: Here comes Magic Mouse Moiraine! The charming young pup is only half a year old and is already full of energy. No wonder, because in Moiraine the genes of a Labrador are at play. Dog lovers will likely be delighted and knowingly smile – Labradors are not only beautiful but also gentle souls and loyal companions, reliable family members, and generally fun to have around. Moiraine currently shows herself on her foster home in Romania as a friendly and playful female dog. She gets along well with her fellow animals and is gentle and friendly. At the moment, she is learning to walk calmly and obediently on a harness and leash. Initial contacts with cats show that she reacts with some reserve and a bit of insecurity. We believe she will patiently master the lessons of the Puppy ABC. Her human should forgive Moiraine any small insecurities or the occasional forgetfulness, because the sweet mouse is in the middle of puberty and can bring a bit of chaos in this phase. According to her Labrador genes, mental and physical stimulation are extremely important. Moiraine should be challenged and supported – positive dog training classes can certainly help with this. Life in the middle of a family will undoubtedly suit our Moiraine very well. However, she should be given time and space to settle in. A warm dog bed as well as her very own cuddly toy will help her find security and peace. However, her human or her forever family should keep in mind that Labradors are extremely fond of playing in water and swimming, as well as retrieving. In short: A Labrador needs a lot of time and species-appropriate adventures to be happy. Is the beautiful Moiraine the main prize for you? Her suitcase is already packed. After a positive placement in a foster home, our whirlwind would of course also be happy. We thank Mrs. Himmel very warmly for giving Moiraine a fittingly beautiful name. Status: 01.11. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

About Moiraine

What life with Moiraine looks like

Moiraine is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Moiraine, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Moiraine?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Moiraine on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Moiraine if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Moiraine already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Moiraine isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Moiraine and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
