How do I contact the shelter about Moka?

Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. ASURA handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Moka on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.

Can I adopt Moka if I live in another country?

Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — ASURA will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.

Is Moka already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?

Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.

What happens if Moka isn't the right fit?

Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with ASURA early rather than rehoming privately; they know Moka and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.

Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?

TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.

Moka

Mixed Breed · Female · Kitten · 4 months

, born 18/06/2026, is a small black kitten... well, black that is slowly turning into pepper and salt! 😉 And to be honest, this slight change in color gives him a unique charm. This little guy was bottle-fed, which makes him an extremely human-oriented kitten. He loves the presence of his bipeds and needs a family that is sufficiently present, who can offer him all the attention and interactions he needs. He also enjoys the presence of children. And in terms of character... hard to do better! He is a kind, sociable, adorable and very endearing kitten with a huge heart. He is extremely playful, loves to share moments with humans, with Neige, his foster feline friend. Moka is really easy-going. And above all... he has a tiny sound peculiarity absolutely adorable: he doesn't purr, he trills! And Mr. trills even when he falls asleep. A real little diesel engine. <3 For his balance and happiness, we will look for him: present and available humans a feline friend, essential for him a garden, to be able to enjoy cat life as it should. He is really a love of a cat, with a great character, very playful, very sociable and terribly endearing. A little fellow who deserves a family worthy of his big heart. About Moka

What life with Moka looks like

Moka is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at ASURA in bordeaux.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.
